We are a celebrations store. Inspired by the lost art of formal entertaining, we are dedicated to helping you elevate and savor all of the special occasions of your life.

Our Story

Brian and I love to host and entertain. We’ve always taken pride in making our home a place where friends and family feel comfortable and well taken care of. We wanted to create a store in the neighborhood that offered this same level of hospitality.

Inspiration struck during a trip to Portland and a visit to Brian's grandmother, Hazel. We found a simple but powerful photo of Hazel in her 1950's heyday, hard at work staining some shutters. She was performing a tedious chore, but her energy was inspiring: in the image, she was impeccably dressed, amazingly dignified, and utterly captivating. At that moment, we realized that our future brand was exactly what we felt in our hearts: the desire to recreate the elegance, dignity, and fascination of a bygone but not forgotten era.

And that's how urbAna was born

Further beloved inspiration from Hazel arrived only after she passed away. She kept a meticulously organized entertaining journal that detailed all the gatherings, events and parties she hosted throughout the '50s and '60's – from baby showers and football games to her husband's boss visiting for dinner, birthdays and holidays, and much more. Discovering this journal and pouring over every detail was the last little bit we needed to realize fully what urbAna was about.

More than delivering great products and gifts, we care about being a store that knows and cares about our customers. We are genuinely thrilled to see you when you walk through our doors.
